COVID-19 Litigation Developments
The rapid spread of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) is having an effect on pending litigation. As part of the government’s efforts to ensure “social distancing,” federal and state courts around the country are adjusting their operations, limiting access to courthouses and encouraging parties to put off or adjourn non-essential matters. In addition, the COVID-19 virus has spawned new litigation. The following memorandum addresses these developments in greater detail.
