Simpson Thacher partner Noah Leibowitz and associate Kassie Helm authored the chapter on United States law in the recently published book titled Intellectual Property in the Life Sciences: A Global Guide to Rights and their Applications.  The book is designed to provide guidance on the IP issues affecting life sciences companies and is geared to lawyers, in-house counsel and other professionals advising firms in the life sciences industry. Mr. Leibowitz and Dr. Helm’s chapter provides an overview of the major applications of US law in protecting IP rights of life sciences companies, with a focus on patents because of their heightened importance to the life sciences industry.
