The Department of Justice Gives Unconditional Approval to Proposed Merger of Sirius and XM
Yesterday, in one of the most interesting developments in merger review in the United States, the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice closed its investigation of the proposed merger of Sirius and XM after concluding that the transaction will not have anticompetitive effects and that "efficiencies alone likely would be sufficient to undermine an inference of competitive harm."
