Simpson Thacher represented Korean telecommunications company KT Corporation in successfully resolving an SEC investigation regarding allegations of FCPA violations in Korea and Vietnam. In February 2022, KT Corporation entered into a resolution with the SEC and received credit for its cooperation, which included conducting an internal investigation and making foreign-based employees available for interviews in the United States, among other things. KT Corporation consented to the SEC’s order without admitting to the allegations.
