Simpson Thacher Advises on AerCap’s $1 Billion Senior Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters in connection with the registered public offering by AerCap Ireland Capital DAC and AerCap Global Aviation Trust, subsidiaries of AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap”), of $1 billion aggregate principal amount of 1.75% Senior Notes due 2026. AerCap intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including to acquire, invest in, finance or refinance aircraft assets and to repay indebtedness. To date, Simpson Thacher has represented the underwriters in connection with over $12.5 billion of debt and equity financings by AerCap or its subsidiaries since 2017.

AerCap is a global leader in aircraft leasing. As of September 30, 2020, AerCap owned 933 aircrafts and managed 105 aircrafts. AerCap serves approximately 200 customers in approximately 80 countries with comprehensive fleet solutions from its headquarters in Dublin, with offices in Shannon, Los Angeles, Singapore, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Seattle and Toulouse.
