The Firm represented J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, BofA Securities, Inc., Banco Bradesco BBI S.A., Itau BBA USA Securities, Inc. and XP Investments US, LLC, as underwriters, in the global offering by BNDES Participações S.A.–BNDESPAR of common shares, including common shares in the form of American depositary shares (“ADSs”), of Suzano S.A. A total of 150,217,425 common shares were sold in the global offering, including 13,180,000 common shares in the form of ADSs.
The global offering raised approximately R$6.9 billion in gross proceeds for BNDES Participações S.A.–BNDESPAR, the investment arm of BNDES, Brazil’s state development bank.
Suzano is the world’s largest producer of virgin market pulp, one of the largest vertically integrated producers of pulp and paper in Latin America and one of Brazil’s largest paper producers. The common shares of Suzano are traded in Brazil on the B3 under the ticker symbol “SUZB”, and the ADSs are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “SUZ”.
