The Firm was recognized across several categories as part of The Deal Awards 2020, which highlights leading advisers shaping the deal economy. Simpson Thacher was named “Financial Services Law Firm of the Year,” and the Firm’s representation of MassMutual in its sale of OppenheimerFunds to Invesco was named “Financial Services Deal of the Year.” In addition, Simpson Thacher was recognized for advising Versum Materials in its high-profile acquisition by Merck, which was awarded “Cross-Border Deal of the Year.” Corporate Partner Robert Langdon was also named “Private Equity Dealmaker of the Year.”
