Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters in connection with the registered public offering by AerCap Ireland Capital DAC and AerCap Global Aviation Trust, subsidiaries of AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap”), of $1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.5% Senior Notes due 2023. AerCap intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including to acquire, invest in, finance or refinance aircraft assets and to repay indebtedness. To date, Simpson Thacher has represented the underwriters in connection with over $10 billion of debt and equity financings by Aercap or its subsidiaries since 2017.
