Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in $1 Billion Senior Notes Offering by Newmont and Dealer Managers in Related Cash Tender Offers

The Firm recently represented the underwriters, led by BMO Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, in connection with the public offering by Newmont Corporation (“Newmont”) (NYSE: NEM) of $1 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.25% Senior Notes due 2030.

The Firm also represented BMO Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan as dealer managers in connection with Newmont’s $1 billion cash tender offers. Newmont used the net proceeds of the offering to finance its tender offers. 

Newmont is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of copper, silver, zinc and lead.  Newmont has significant operations and/or assets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Peru, Suriname, Argentina, Chile, Australia and Ghana.
