Carlos Dávila-Caballero Speaks on Corporate Counsel Panel on Diversity and Inclusion

Simpson Thacher Director of Diversity and Inclusion Carlos Dávila-Caballero spoke at Corporate Counsel’s 2019 General Counsel Conference on September 26. Carlos participated in a panel titled, “Driving a Culture of Diversity & Inclusion: Moving the Needle Forward.” The discussion focused on how diversity and inclusion has evolved into a priority in the legal industry, and what a successful initiative to create and maintain a diverse culture in the workplace looks like, among other topics.
In a Corporate Counsel article covering the panel, Carlos said that, besides showing numbers and the prospect for growth, he has found qualitative data has also been useful in discussing the benefits of having a diverse staff of attorneys. “Having people on the ground is the first step,” Carlos said. “The general counsel will begin to see the difference.”
