The Firm is representing KKR in connection with its announced acquisition of Unilever’s global Spreads business for €6.825 billion (US$8.02 billion). The transaction is expected to close mid-2018 and is subject to certain regulatory approvals and employee consultation in certain jurisdictions.
Unilever's Spreads business includes brands such as Becel, Flora, Country Crock, Blue Band, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Rama and ProActiv. It operates across 66 countries around the world.
