Corporate Partner Todd Crider assisted The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice in the establishment of The Lawyers Council for Civil and Economic Rights in the Americas. The Council, which is initially composed of 18 prominent attorneys from the United States and Latin America, designs and implements strategies to address systemic challenges in the Americas. Initial program modules to be pursued by the Council, which benefits from funding from the Ford Foundation and the Tinker Foundation, include regional anti-corruption strategies and support for NGO and the development of the not-for-profit sector. “The spirit of the initiatives promoted by The Lawyers Council” is “about getting involved in society, taking part, proposing and generating necessary changes,” Todd told LexLatin in an interview.
