Simpson Thacher was recognized by Law360 as Technology Group of the Year for 2016. The publication highlighted the Firm’s work on some of the most noteworthy technology matters of the year, including Microsoft's $26.2 billion purchase of LinkedIn, as well as the successful defense of Alibaba in a securities litigation arising out of its historic IPO.

The article also highlighted the Firm’s representation of Dell and Silver Lake Partners in their $67 billion takeover of EMC Corp. - the largest technology deal of all time. Litigation Partner Jeff Ostrow commented on the Firm’s work on the transaction, “I think the team on that deal did a remarkable job.”
