Simpson Thacher Represents Initial Purchasers in US$350 Million Debt Offering by Kallpa Generación S.A.

The Firm represented Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Credicorp Capital Sociedad Agente de Bolsa S.A., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., as initial purchasers, in connection with an offering of US$350 million of 4.875% Notes due 2026 issued by Kallpa Generación S.A., a Peruvian corporation. The offering was conducted in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933.
Kallpa Generación S.A. is one of the largest power generation companies in Peru in terms of installed capacity and the largest subsidiary of Inkia Energy & IC Power, a leading owner, developer and operator of power facilities in Latin America.
The Simpson Thacher team for the debt offering included, among others, Juan Francisco Méndez, Luis Pellerano and Roberto Villaseca (Capital Markets); and Jonathan Cantor, Taylor Alexander and William Smolinski (Tax).
