Simpson Thacher Obtains Dismissal of Eviction Case in Washington, D.C.

10.13.15
Attorneys in Simpson Thacher’s Washington, D.C. office obtained a dismissal for a pro bono client facing eviction from the apartment in which she lived for over eight years. In response to the Firm’s summary judgment motion which argued that the landlord produced insufficient evidence in discovery to support an eviction, the landlord filed a praecipe dismissing the case with prejudice. The team included Associates Katelyn Benton, Elliot Weingarten and Daniel Honeycutt, with supervision by Peter Thomas.
