The Firm recently represented Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. in connection with its public offering of 23,000,000 shares of class A common stock, inclusive of the shares sold pursuant to the underwriters’ full exercise of their option to purchase additional shares, in each case at a public offering price of $30.50 per share, or over $700 million in the aggregate.
Blackstone Mortgage Trust intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to pay for a portion of the purchase price for its proposed acquisition of a $4.6 billion portfolio of commercial mortgage loans sold by GE Capital Real Estate, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
