Simpson Thacher was named by Asian Legal Business as 2010’s Leading Private Equity & Venture Capital International Law Firm across Asia in the annual survey of the region’s most senior in-house lawyers and business leaders.  In addition, the Firm won four deal of the year awards at the Asian Legal Business Law Awards ceremony held in Tokyo on May 28, 2010 including:

• Canadian Chamber of Commerce Japan Award M&A Deal of the Year for representation of Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd. in connection with its $9 billion sale to Panasonic Corporation.
