Simpson Thacher litigation partners Peter Bresnan and Mark Stein will participate in a Directors Roundtable discussion at the Harvard Club in New York City on October 31, 2008. The program, entitled "Key Issues Facing Boards of Directors: Dealing with SEC & DOJ Investigations in the Current Environment,” will address challenges for business leaders brought about by the changing regulatory and enforcement environment resulting from the credit crunch and slowdown of the economy.  The panel will also outline strategies for responding to these investigations from the viewpoint of Boards of Directors, Top Management, and General Counsel.  Other speakers on the panel include Andrew Calamari, Associate Regional Director & Co-Head of Enforcement U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (New York); William Johnson, Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York; and Ellen Zimiles, Chief Executive Officer of Daylight Forensic & Advisory and Former Assistant Attorney of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York & Chief Asset Forfeiture.
