On October 9, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York affirmed an April, 2006 award of over $30,000,000 in adequate protection payments to the second lien lenders to Westpoint Stevens, Inc. The firm represented the second lien lenders, other than certain lenders controlled by Carl Icahn, and took the lead in litigating this issue at both levels. Mark Thompson and Alice Eaton have handled this matter since inception and Josh Geller joined the team for the appeal.
