Simpson Thacher represented The Carlyle Group in the establishment of Carlyle Venture Partners III, L.P., the third in this series of Carlyle's venture capital funds. The fund, with $605 million in equity commitments, will primarily invest in venture capital and growth equity transactions in North American companies.
