The Firm represented KKR in its acquisition of $227,000,000 of Zero Coupon Convertible Instruments Due 2014 of Yageo Corporation. Yageo, a Taiwanese company, is a leading manufacturer of passive components used in consumer electronics. The Instruments are convertible into newly issued common shares of Yageo or into global depositary receipts representing the common shares. Assuming the complete conversion of the Instruments based on Yageo's current share capital, KKR would become the largest foreign shareholder of Yageo representing a 16.1% stake. Yageo's shares trade on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the GDRs trade on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
