Simpson Thacher Represents Consortium in Placing and Buyback of Approximately 23 Million Shares in LSEG

Simpson Thacher represented certain investment funds affiliated with Blackstone Inc. (“Blackstone”) in connection with the accelerated bookbuilt offering of approximately 17.3 million shares in London Stock Exchange Group plc (“LSEG”) by a consortium including Blackstone, an affiliate of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (“CPPIB”), an affiliate of GIC Special Investments Pte. Ltd. (“GIC”) and Thomson Reuters (together, the “Consortium”) raising approximately £1.6 billion in gross proceeds. Simpson Thacher also represented the Consortium in relation to an off-market purchase by LSEG of approximately 5.7 million shares from the Consortium raising approximately £500 million in proceeds for the Consortium.
