Healthcare Partner Vanessa Burrows was a featured speaker at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization’s (BIO) 2024 International Convention in California on June 6. Vanessa spoke on a panel titled, “The US Supreme Court and the End of Scientific Deference?,” which explored the impact that the loss of Chevron deference could have on the life sciences industry and the challenges to the FDA’s 2016 and 2021 actions with respect to mifepristone's approved conditions of use. The panel further discussed how these cases could impact investment decisions, R&D efforts and the competitive marketplace.
