Simpson Thacher is representing Blackstone Real Estate in connection with its sale of an approximately 35% stake in Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), a leading owner of resort hotels in Southern Europe, to GIC, in a deal that values HIP at more than €4bn. Blackstone will continue to be the majority shareholder in HIP.
