Simpson Thacher is advising Astound Broadband (“Astound”) in connection with its definitive agreement to acquire the Chicago, Illinois, Evansville, Indiana and Anne Arundel, Maryland service areas from WideOpenWest, Inc. for $661 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of the year and is subject to certain regulatory reviews and approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
Astound is the sixth largest cable operator in the United States and operates leading regional providers RCN, Grande, Wave and enTouch.
