Jon Youngwood, Global Co-Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department, was featured in the New York Law Journal as a 2020 “New York Trailblazer.” The profile highlighted Jon’s and the Firm’s commitment to high-impact civil and voting rights matters, detailing pro bono work in Mississippi, including securing a landmark consent decree in Brown v. Madison County to help prevent Mississippi’s Madison County Sheriff’s Department from engaging in racially motivated policing practices. He also argued an expedited appeal challenging Mississippi’s lifetime voting ban for individuals with criminal convictions before the Fifth Circuit.
