The Firm is representing KKR in connection with the sale of its 85% stake in AlphaTheta Corporation (formerly Pioneer DJ Corporation) to Noritsu Koki Co., Ltd., which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. At the same time, Pioneer Corporation will be selling its 15% stake in Pioneer DJ to Noritsu Koki. The transaction values Pioneer DJ at approximately 65 billion yen ($600 million). The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, and is expected to close in April 2020. The Firm also represented KKR in its acquisition of Pioneer DJ in 2015.
Pioneer DJ is a leading company in developing and selling equipment, software and related services for disc jockeys, including DJ players, mixers, controllers, headphones, DJ-related software and speakers.
