BlackRock LTPC Makes Strategic Investment in Authentic Brands Group

Simpson Thacher recently represented entities affiliated with BlackRock’s Long Term Private Capital (“LTPC”) strategy in its first investment, a strategic investment in Authentic Brands Group LLC (“ABG”), owner of a portfolio of iconic and world-renowned brands. LTPC became the largest investor in ABG and joined existing ABG investors, including founding investor Leonard Green & Partners, General Atlantic, Lion Capital, Simon Property Group, Brookfield Properties’ retail group and Shaquille O’Neal.
