Simpson Thacher represented KKR in connection with the creation of SinoCare Group, an investment and management platform company, which aims to provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in China through the acquisition, build-out and consolidation of hospitals. SinoCare will work with KKR to bring top medical resources and management experience that aim to improve service capabilities and operational efficiencies to healthcare service providers within the SinoCare platform.

The Firm also represented KKR in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in HeTian Hospital Management Co., the leading Chinese hospital management company specialized in operating and investing in integrated healthcare service providers. The partnership between SinoCare and HeTian aims to serve as a model for the enhancements available to Chinese healthcare providers, when supported by a leading international investor.
